Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Dental Medicine of Universidade Católica Portuguesa and a licensed Dentist registered with the Portuguese Dental Association (OMD) (License No. 11800).
In 2018, she completed her Master’s degree in Dental Medicine at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. In 2019, she completed an Advanced Course in Oral Rehabilitation and became a member of the DSD – smile design hands-on & emotional dentistry program (Module I Residency in Madrid). In 2023, she completed her PhD in Surgery and Odonto-Stomatology at the University of Salamanca, graduating with the highest distinction, “Sobresaliente Cum Laude”.
She is currently a career Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the Portuguese Catholic University (FMDUCP) in Viseu, where she is part of the Oral Rehabilitation team. She is also a researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Health (CIIS), within the Precision Oral Health Platform.
In parallel, she has been engaged in clinical practice since 2018; she has participated in numerous scientific meetings and conferences; she is the author of scientific communications and publications in international journals; she has experience in supervising and co-supervising Master’s theses, as well as participating in academic juries; and she is involved in research projects in the field of precision dental medicine and in the development of digital tools to support clinical decision-making.
Her main research interests focus on molecular diagnostics, particularly in the field of salivary proteomics, aiming to identify relevant biomarkers for early diagnosis and personalized medicine. In parallel, she develops work on the integration of artificial intelligence-based approaches applied to prediction, monitoring, and clinical decision support in Dental Medicine. She also has a particular interest in implantology, specifically in the areas of diagnosis, prediction, and clinical monitoring, with a focus on the prevention of peri-implant diseases.
