The Change of Institution/Course Pair refers to the process by which a student enrolls in a different institution/course pair from the one they were enrolled in during previous academic years (according to Ordinance no. 181-D/2015, of June 19).
Students may apply for a change of institution/course pair to the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (FMD-UCP) if the following criteria are met:
- Enrollment in a different institution/course pair, either in Portugal or abroad, during the academic year immediately prior to the one in which the application is submitted, without having completed the course;
- Completion of the national secondary school exams corresponding to the entrance exams required for the Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences or the Integrated Master’s Degree in Dental Medicine, under the general higher education access regime;
- Students who completed secondary education abroad may submit equivalent exams, as recognized under Ordinance no. 181-D/2015, of June 19;
- Achievement of the minimum required scores in those exams, as defined by the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Note: Applicants must submit a formal request along with the following supporting documents:
- Civil and tax identification documents;
- Academic transcript listing passed curricular units, with corresponding grades, ECTS credits or workload;
- Course syllabi of the completed curricular units, for potential credit recognition;
- Explanation of the grading scale (for students from foreign institutions, if different from the Portuguese system);
- Documents proving eligibility and access to higher education (for students who entered through special regimes);
- ENES form or equivalent documentation.
