Luís Silva Santos, PharmD. Born in Coimbra (1978). Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Universidade de Coimbra (Faculty of Pharmacy) and Master in Experimental Pathology from the same University (Faculty of Medicine). Postgraduate studies in Genetic Toxicology and Toxicogenomics (Universidade Nova de Lisboa) and in Bioethics (Universidade Católica Portuguesa). Currently awaiting the appointment of public presentation of his PhD thesis in order to obtain the Doctorate Degree in Biomedical Sciences by Universidade do Porto (Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar). Teaches at Universidade Católica Portuguesa since 2006, where he is currently responsible for the Pharmacology, Toxicology and Immunology disciplinary areas of both the Integrated Master Course in Dentistry and the Biomedical Sciences Degree. Member of the Pedagogical Council of the Faculty of Dentistry of Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Invited researcher at the Centre for Toxicogenomics and Human Health (ToxOmics), NOVA Medical School (Universidade Nova de Lisboa), where he develops research work in the field of Medicine and Biomedicine, sub-areas Pharmacology, Toxicology and Molecular Diagnosis. He has 9 scientific articles published in indexed peer-reviewed journals, prepared in collaboration with 32 other co-authors and cited by 214 indexed articles (h-index = 5; Scopus data). 6 oral communications and 22 panel communications (“poster”) at scientific events.
