·  Graduated in Dental Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra in 2004.

·  Completed a Master’s degree at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra with the thesis “Biocompatibility of Root Canal Obturation Systems – Experimental Study” in 2007.

·  Completed a PhD at the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro with the thesis “Bioceramics in Tissue Regeneration in Furcation Perforations in a Canine Model” in 2017.

·  Is a collaborating researcher at the Interdisciplinary Health Research Centre (CIIS-UCP).

·  Has been a faculty member at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa since 2004, teaching various subjects, mainly in the field of Endodontics.

·  Was a voluntary monitor in the Integrated Master’s Degree in Dental Medicine during 2009/2010 in Pre-Clinical Unit 1 (Operative Dentistry, Endodontics), in the area of Endodontics, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra.

·  Has been a member of the Portuguese Dental Association since 2004, with license number OMD-4769, of the Portuguese Society of Stomatology and Dental Medicine since 2007, and of the Portuguese Society of Endodontology since 2011.

·  Is a Certified Member of the European Society of Endodontology since 2021.
