The 3Boost project, promoted by the regional centers of UCP-Porto and Viseu, will accelerate the transfer of scientific and technological knowledge in the areas of agri-food biotechnology, biomedicine and bioinformatics.

3Boost - Viseu team in a project execution meeting
In the regional center of Viseu, dedicated to Biomedicine and Dental Medicine research, 3Boost will allow the identification of innovative ideas and technologies generated by students, researchers and professors. Thus, this project will facilitate the transfer of these skills (sustainable products, processes, and services) to both the business sector and society, also integrating an innovative and differentiated educational approach at Faculty of Dental Medicine-UCP. The potentiality of digitalization and bioinformatics will be a key piece.
These skills, with transfer potential, will boost innovation at the entrepreneurship ecosystem and the business culture of the central region. This perspective aims to attract the interest of related value chains, namely in biomedicine and bioinformatics. The project also aims to support and promote both circularity and sustainability together with key elements of digitalization and industry 4.0, even more relevant in a post-COVID economy.
