The overall objective of the unit is to provide students with fundamental knowledge about the complexity of the proteome and techniques used in proteome analysis. Specific objectives include: acquire knowledge at the molecular and structural level of proteins; use of the physicochemical properties of proteins in processes of separation and simplification of the proteome; acquire knowledge in protein identification methods and complex proteome analysis; acquire knowledge in dynamic proteome analysis; acquire knowledge of the potential of clinical proteomics.
