The Rector of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Prof. Dr. Isabel Capeloa Gil, hereby announces the opening of an international call for applications for one vacancy of junior doctoral researcher to perform duties of scientific research and knowledge transfer (with an exclusivity clause), in the scientific field of Health Sciences, Biological Sciences or related scientific fields. The research activities will be carried out at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Health (CIIS), integrated at the Faculty of Dental Medicine of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Viseu, within the framework of the Project Deeptech Transfer (COMPETE2030-FEDER-01458500), funded through the COMPETE2030-2024-6 Collective Actions - Transfer of scientific and technological knowledge.
This project, which will run until the 31st of august 2027, has as its main objective to promote the transfer of scientific knowledge in the fields of Food Biotechnology, Heath and Information Technologies. It will promote the generation of economic value of R&D results, through strengthening of the dissemination of new technologies to the industrial sector; the knowledge transfer processes and tools; and the conditions for value creation by the transformation of innovative technologies developed by students and researchers of the regional centers of UCP in Braga, Porto and Viseu. The project will contribute to the development and sustainability of business ideas based on products and services, and effective links between actors of the innovation ecosystem.
The Junior Researcher recruited for this position will have the following main activities:
Project management functions, including the preparation and submission of project results and reports, as well as interacting with project coordination and partners.
Participating in knowledge promotion activities that foster technology transfer and create effective channels between academia and industry.
Promoting the implementation of knowledge transfer methodologies that facilitate value creation.
Participating in pre-commercial validation activities for knowledge-based technologies.
