Rita Cristina Pais Fidalgo Pereira has a licence degree and integrated Master in dentistry (DDS/MsC) since 2009 at Universidade Católica Portuguesa Instituto de Ciências da Saúde-Viseu. She accomplished her PhD in biomedical sciences in 2024 at University Institute of Health Sciences (IUCS), CESPU. Her PhD thesis was related to the optical transmittance in resin-matrix composites and cements and allowed the cooperation between different institutions namely, University of Minho, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven, Belgium), Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and University of Zurich. Dr. Rita Fidalgo Pereira has focused on the optical transmittance and physicochemical characterization of restorative materials. Currently Dr. Rita Fidalgo Pereira is an invited assistant Professor at Faculty of Dental Medicine (FMD) at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP). Also, she is a collaborative researcher at Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Health (CIIS), Faculty of Dental Medicine (FMD), Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP). She also works as clinical director and general dentist with emphasis in restorative dentistry. Dr. Rita Pereira has also a post-graduation in Minimal Adhesive Dentistry in 2018 at University Institute of Health Sciences (IUCS), CESPU and several clinical courses regarding restorative dentistry, endodontics and orthodontics.
