She graduated in 2001 in Dentistry at the Faculdade de Medicina Dentária of Universidade do Porto (FMDUP – Dental Medicine College of Porto University) with a final average mark of 14.
She attended the Post-Graduate Course in Orthodontics at the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Coimbra (FMUC – Medicine College of Coimbra University) from May 2003 to May 2006.
In 2010, she joined the PhD in “Dentistry” at FMDUP. In 2016 she obtained a PhD degree defending the thesis entitled «The psychosocial dimension of dentofacial deformity».
She provided public evidence to the College of Specialities of Orthodontics of the Portuguese Dental Association (OMD), having been awarded with the title of Specialist in Orthodontics on July 13, 2013.
She is founding partner nº 24, since 2014, of the Associação Portuguesa dos Especialistas em Ortodontia (APESORT – Portuguese Association of Specialist in Orthodontics).
She assumed the position of Assistant in Pediatric Dentistry at FMDUP in the academic years 2001/2002, 2002/2003, 2009/2010, 2010/2011.
She teaches at Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) since 2015. And currently she assumes the position of Assistant Professor accumulating the regency of all Curricular Units of Orthodontics at the current Faculdade de Medicina Dentária da UCP.
She develops exclusively the activity of Orthodontics in several clinics in the District of Porto.
She is a current member of the OMD General Council for the 2020/2024 term.
